Lai See Packets Reused and Recycling Programme

    17 Jan 2020

With the Lunar New Year approaching, the Club will run a promotion in association with Greeners Action, entitled “Lai See Packets Reused and Recycling Programme”.

This special programme aims at reducing solid waste in Hong Kong and avoiding waste production. Moreover, it can help to increase job opportunities for those in need. Over 12 Million packets were collected last Lunar New Year, and after the selection and packaging process, 5 million packets were deemed “Renewed Lai See Packets” still in good condition to be reused again.

Every renewed packet is neat and has been sorted by size into large, medium and small. A sticker of “Please Reuse Me” has been placed on the back of each packet, to spread this important environmental message.

These “Renewed Lai See Packets” are free of charge (50 pieces per pack) and will be available beginning of January 2020, on a first-come-first-serve basis, at the Club’s Reception Desk. If you would like to receive a large amount of renewed packets, please contact Annie Tai, F&B Secretary on 2830 9547 for further arrangement.

We also encourage our Members to put their used (but still in good condition) Lai See Packets at the Club Reception from 3rd to 17th February 2019.
